Ashley Burnham (formerly Callingbull) is a proud member of the Enoch Cree Nation in the province of Alberta.  She is a motivational speaker, actor, activist and MRS. UNIVERSE 2015.

Prior to Ashley being crowned MRS. UNIVERSE; Ashley had consecutively won all the Enoch Princess Pageant crowns by the tender age of eight.  In June 2010, Ashley placed 2nd Runner up in the Miss Universe Canada 2010 Pageant.  She is the first Cree First Nations Woman to achieve this goal.  Ashley also represented Canada at the Miss International Pageant in China, Queen of the World in Germany and the Humanity International Pageant in Barbados.  During her reign as a Miss Canada, Ashley traveled around the world and spoke at hospitals, schools, TED Talks, Harvard University and numerous events about her life and reaching out to others.  The loss of some very close family members have led Ashley to also support the Stollery Children's Hospital, Walk for the Cure, Run for the Lung and mentor underprivileged aboriginal youth.


She is also a professionally trained dancer in tap, ballet, jazz, pointe and performed in the Nutcracker Ballet.   During her dance training; Ashley began her pursuit for her love of acting.  Today, Ashley is well known known for her protrayal of the character "Sheila Delaronde" on the Gemini Award winning  television series, Blackstone. 



Ashley is also known for her devotion to her culture and people, and takes pride in her Native Cree heritage, and has shown this through her volunteer work with community elders and aboriginal youth. In all, Ashley is a well-educated, beautiful, talented young woman with tons of potential, who recognizes her family, friends, Mechet Charities Limited and the Dreamcatchers Foundation for helping her along the way.
